Mobility Office Assistant

Description of duties:
- Administrative support
- Communication with outgoing ERASMUS students for “ERASMUS stories”
- Checking the mobility documents of Pharmacy students
- Recording the incoming mobilities

Working days and hours: 3 times a week, 4 hours (based on the student's timetable)

Qualifications required:
- Good knowledge of Excel and Word
- Organizational Skills
- Pleasant personality
- Willingness to advertise opportunities through the ERASMUS+ program

Payment:
€4.50/hour (deduction on your university fees)

As a Student Ambassador of our University, you will be working as part of a highly motivated team, supporting a variety of departments across the University during campaigns, new students’ induction days, as well as other events throughout the year.

Below are a few examples of tasks you will have to carry out as a Student Ambassador:

- Talk about your course in more depth to new students
- Follow up with prospective and/or newly registered students
- Tour new students and parents around the campus
- Support conferences and other educational events
- Support promotional activities and on-and-off campus events (i.e. fairs, school visits, fun day, welcome back events)
- Photoshoots

We recruit Student Ambassadors from any of our courses, as well as from diverse backgrounds and experiences because we want to ensure that out Student Ambassadors are representative of our entire student body.

- How many hours will you be working?
A sensible guideline for all full-time students is to work no more than 20 hours per week throughout the term, and no more than 35 hours per week during holiday periods. Remember that your studies are priority. Ambassadors can be flexible in terms of the hours they work.

- How much will you getting paid?
Payment: €5.50 - €6.00/hour (deduction on your university fees)

The September revision exam period for the academic year 2021-22, for the distance learning programs, is scheduled on the 10 & 11 of September and will take place online.

Registrations to the courses of the 2nd Examination are carried out electronically through the electronic platform extranet (http://extranet.frederick.ac.cy/) until August 24, 2022. Any changes after the cut-off date will not be possible.

The first year of study is perhaps considered the most important for the successful path of a student in higher education. One of the biggest challenges of the first year is the successful transition and adjustment of the student from high school / Army to the University. We, at Frederick University, want to ensure the academic success of each student. Therefore, in addition to the support services we provide to all students during their studies, we offer additional activities before the beginning of the academic year in order to help make the transition from Secondary to Higher Education be as smooth as possible.

Ι. Preparatory Programme: 5-29 September, 2022

The Preparatory Program is offered free of charge to incoming students and includes:

Refresh your knowledge: Free intensive courses such as English, Mathematics, Architectural Design, Physics and others according to your study program.
Empowerment workshops: Workshops for the development of academic and other skills that will give you some basic tools for your adaptation to the University.
Recreational and Sports activities where you will have the opportunity to discover, communicate and of course have fun!
The first day of the preparatory program is Monday, September 5, at 10:00.

II. First Year Orientation Days: 28-29 September 2022

All Fall 2022 new students are expected to participate in the Orientation Day. During the Orientation you will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members of your Department and with Student Welfare Service representatives. In addition, on the same day you will register to your Fall 2022 classes and gain access to your semester timetable.

III. Start of Fall 2022 semester

Fall 2022 classes begin on Monday, October 3, 2023. View the 2022-2023 Academic Calendar in order to find out the important semester dates and deadlines.

* Any of the activities included in the Induction and Orientation Programme may be cancelled or offered remotely according to travel restrictions and relevant guidelines issued by the appropriate Authorities in regards to Covid-19.

The 2nd Examination Period for the Academic Year 2021-2022 will take place between September 8 and September 16, 2022. The 2nd Examination will be held with students’ physical presence on the University’s campus in Nicosia and in Limassol.

Students can register online for Second Examination courses, through the extranet. The deadline for registering for the 2nd Examination is August 24, 2022. Changes after this date are not possible.
