Petia Tanova is an associate professor in Economics and a vice Dean of the School of Business and Law. She holds a Ph.D. and an MA degree in Economics from Lomonosov Moscow state University. Dr. Tanova Joined Frederick University in 2008 and acted as a chair Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance 2011-2016. She provides instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics and coordinates the academic programs of the Department of Business, Accounting and Finance in Limassol campus. Her Research interests are in the field of institutional adjustment of the models of the market economy within an internationally integrated community. Dr. Tanova published 3 monographs and a number of textbooks and study guides in Economics. She has been a member of the organizational committees and a moderator of international conferences and published numerous papers in international conference proceedings and peer reviewed academic journals. Currently she is a member of Editorial Boards and a reviewer of a few publishers and academic journals. She supervised more than 100 undergraduate and graduate dissertations, participated as a reviewer and a member of the juries for awarding Ph. D. degrees in economics. Dr. Tanova participated in research projects funded by the UNDP, the EU, the British Council and the University of National and World Economy (Sofia, Bulgaria), as well as in a few British-Bulgarian and American Bulgarian joint educational graduate and undergraduate projects. Dr. Tanova taught as a full time, adjunct and visiting professor for a number of undergraduate and graduate programs for Bulgarian, American, British and Ukrainian Universities, and acted as an external examiner for MBA projects for the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, and for the Open University (London) programs. She was awarded honors and awards by Lomonosov Moscow State University, the British Council and Oxford University, the Peoples Academy of Ukraine, the Open Society Fund.
