Dr. Costas Kyriacou holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of New York, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cyprus University. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Frederick University, Cyprus. From 1988 to 2006 he was with the faculty of the Computer Engineering Department of Frederick Institute of Technology (Cyprus). Since 1998 he is also a member of the Frederick Research Center research staff. His research interests include computer architecture, parallel processing, reconfigurable computing techniques and data acquisition systems. Dr. Kyriacou is a member of the group that developed the Data-Driven Multithreading model and he developed the Data-Driven Network of Workstations. He has participated as principal investigator or research associate in more than ten research projects funded by the RPF and others, in areas related to DataFlow architectures, cache optimizations, reconfigurable computing techniques as well as instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
