Dr. Konstantinos Tatas received his degree and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece in 1999 and 2005, respectively. He has been employed as a digital IC designer by INTRACOM SA between 2000 and 2002. He is currently a Senior Researcher at Frederick Research Center as well as Assistant Professor with the faculty of the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Frederick University in Cyprus. His research interests include low-power VLSI design, network-on-chip architectures, reconfigurable architectures and embedded system design. His total published work includes a textbook, two book chapters and over fifty journals and conferences. Recognition for his work includes more that 300 citations with h-index: 11 and i10-index: 13 (source: Google Scholar). He also serves as a reviewer in a number of international journals and conferences. He has also participated in a number of Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation, Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology and European IST-funded projects such as AMDREL and EASY. He has won two awards in international design contests and his Ph.D. thesis was selected for publication in the Ph.D. forum of VLSI-SoC 2003.
