Marios Pelekanos graduated as an architect engineer from the National Technical University of Athens in 1989, and in 1990 he received his M.Sc. from Bartlett School of Architecture and Planning, University College London. Since 2014 he is a PhD candidate at the National Technical University of Athens and his research subject is the constructional analysis of the timber-roofed basilicas of Troodos, in Cyprus. Since 2010 he is an Assistant Professor at Frederick University Cyprus. He teaches “constructional analysis and restoration methods” courses of the Master Programme “Conservation and restoration of historical structures and monuments” and several other architectural technology courses of the undergraduate programme.
