Dr Anna Chatzipanagiotidou is an Associate Professor in Intercultural / Language Education. She is responsible for the examinations in Greek for the European Certificate of Attainment in Cyprus. She has been a member of the Teaching Staff at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki until 2008 where she taught in undergraduate and postgraduate as well as in teacher training programs . She belongs to the Teaching Staff at the Education Department of the University of Frederick since that year. She has participated in European research programs, most of which concern Greek diaspora, language integration of immigrants and refugees, intercultural education (University of Crete, EDIAMME and YPEPTH -Ministry of Greek). Along with publications in reputable scientific journals, she has written 25 textbooks of Greek language learning for foreigners, intercultural work projects and activities as well as welcome guides and language material for refugees (Xenios Zeus program ). She created electronic language material for distance learning of the Greek language. She participated in conferences and seminars in Greece, Cyprus and abroad (Europe, America, Australia, Africa) as a rapporteur and trainer. She is a member of scientific organisations as well as a reviewer in scientific journals. Her research interests focus on Bilingualism, Intercultural and Anti-racist Education as well as the language integration of minority students.
