Learning Outcomes of the course unitBy the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  1. Develop a theoretical framework for research
  2. Identify and justify the choice of research methodology
  3. Identify an appropriate research strategy and analyze bibliography
  4. Identify and adopt appropriate research methods
  5. Demonstrate an ability to write with fluency, clarity and precision
  6. Describe the theoretical background of his/her research topic, the selection and description of the required research method to solve the research problem.
  7. Evaluate and discuss scientific research topics in his/her own field
  8. Analyze data and report findings in the format of a 15,000 word dissertation.

Course ContentsDissertation is an output of research. The student shows his ability and skills to work independently. Original results of research must be included in the dissertation. The dissertation is put together by the student under his/her supervisor's guidelines. The topic of a dissertation must be approved by a relevant Ph.D. study programme professional board.                                                  
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme. The dissertation thesis contains above all these parts: summary of the present state of problems with reference to used source - books, targets of the thesis, description of own solution, original outcomes and their use in bulletins and projects, target analysis for science and experience, recommendation for continuing to written thesis in required topic and branch, list of student's published works and their relevant quotations, list of used literature, declaration of intellectual property and an annotation generally in Greek.
