Course Contents | - Body and movement development at pre-primary level: Special conditions that apply in the development at each age – how this conditions affect physical education class. How children develop at pre-primary level and what the special conditions are precisely. - Methods of Teaching: Anatomy of the methods of teaching. Selection of the most appropriate and most effective method, according to the content of the lesson and the school context. - Class activity presentation: Effective teaching of skills to achieve pre-set short and long term goals. - Systematic method toward developing teaching skills: Development of methods of improving teaching skills, to achieve effective teaching. - Feedback at per-primary education. Types of feedback and methods of providing it at pre-primary level. | ||||||||||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods | The structure of the class consists of a combination of lectures, class work, workshops and class discussions, to provide the students with the theoretical background and to give them the opportunity to practice effective teaching components. In addition, videotaped classes are observed for critical thinking and discussion. Students are encouraged to bring in class their personal experiences for discussion and exchange of ideas. Methods of teaching are analyzed and students get the opportunity to practice them, through mini lesson plan preparation and presentation, in order to take their first steps in teaching physical education, gaining practical experience. | ||||||||||||
