FHG is a multifarious conglomerate composed of some 38 companies active across a variety of sectors; chiefly, maritime, industrial, and oil and gas pursuits, alongside new areas of exploration, including healthcare and ICT (Information and Communications Technology).

It is serving as an official commercial agent to more than 200 companies dispersed across an excess of 50 countries. FHG is headquartered in Cyprus and maintains offices in Piraeus, Hamburg, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Shanghai, Rotterdam, and Groningen.

Scholarship Guidelines

The following sets forth guidelines that Frederick University (FU) will rely upon in evaluating requests for Fameline Holding Group (FHG) Scholarship funds and making scholarship awards.

FHG’s scholarships shall be awarded for use in undergraduate Maritime Studies degree of the Department of Maritime Transport and Commerce of FU.

FHG scholarship consists of one full 4-years scholarship covering tuition/registration fees to an undergraduate Maritime Studies student.

FHG shall cover the remaining tuition costs after the deduction of the government subsidy the applicant would receive.

A new scholarship is awarded every 2 years.

To be considered for an academic scholarship, all applicants must submit a completed application form available at the FU Admission Office inclusive of the following documents:

Deadlines for submission of applications with all supporting materials: August 25th.

All applications and supporting materials for scholarships must be submitted on time and must be complete and verified by the Admission Office before being considered by the Scholarship

Application Evaluation Committee.

Only complete applications with all required supporting materials that are received by the published deadline will be considered by the Scholarship Application Evaluation Committee.

Selection Process for Academic Scholarships

All completed applications accompanied by all required supporting materials will be reviewed by the Scholarship Application Evaluation Committee to ensure that every applicant receives full consideration.

Scholarship eligibility will be decided based on the following parameters:

All decisions by the Scholarship Application Evaluation Committee are final and any attempts by applicants to lobby or persuade the committee during the process will result in immediate disqualification.

The financial status will be examined by the Admission office of the University.

The preliminary screening of all applications will be conducted by the Director of the Department of Maritime Transport and Commerce who will review the application form and the submitted documents. The process will involve interviewing candidates with the highest score on the aforementioned points system.

At the end of the screening process, the Director shall present to the Scholarship Evaluation Committee at least 3 candidates who he/she believes would be academically more suitable to receive FHG Scholarship.

The interview process and selection of the most suitable candidate will be announced on September 10th. It will be at the discretion of FHG to choose which candidate will receive the scholarship.

Provision of the Scholarship

The successful student will need to keep his/her performance at a satisfactorily level, with a yearly Cumulative GPA 7.00.
