The program introduces and familiarizes students with a broad range of Business Administration disciplines. In addition, the program is designed to offer students the fundamental business theories and develop in them the skills essential for competitiveness in the 21st century. The courses offered through the program constitute a balance between the academic and practical directions. Upon graduations students are prepared for the industry and/or for further studies.

The language of instruction is English.


Key Learning Outcomes

    1. Define, evaluate and implement criteria according to which an enterprise is defined and link the results with the analysis of the environment to identify perspectives.
    2. Identify, evaluate and analyse the constitutional characteristics and the functional areas of an organisation and their relations (i.e. goals and objectives, ownership, size, structure, purchasing, production, logistics, marketing, finance, human resource).
    3. Audit an organisation and design consultancy plans (i.e. tax law, investment, case studies, project work)
    4. Understand, use and implement bookkeeping and financial tools and systems (i.e. profit and loss account, balance sheet).
    5. Identify and evaluate the impact of macro- and microeconomic elements on business organisations (i.e. financial and monetary systems, internal markets).
    6. Design and implement and operate information systems.
    7. Identify, implement and master adequate tools for market research, and statistical analysis.
    8. Managing a company by planning and controlling concepts, methods and tools.
    9. Understand follow and implement existing and new technology and its impact for new / future markets.
    10. Evaluate and implement the principles of law and link them with business / management knowledge and marketing.
    11. Demonstrate competencies in oral and written communication skills, in English as a foreign language as well as in the use of relevant computing technologies and tools.

Exemptions from Professional Examinations

Significantly, students obtaining the degree of BA in Business Administration are also exempted from professional examinations as follows:

  • 8 out of 14 examinations of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • 12 out of 16 examinations of the Association of International Accountants (AIA)

Occupational Profiles of the Graduates

The graduates of the Program have the knowledge and skills required for running their own, self-administrated business. They fulfil the requirements for employment in the public or private sectors as officers, assistant managers, or managers in organisations and/or businesses. They can also be employed in the industry, in banks, cooperatives, semi-governmental bodies and in areas related to accounting and finance.
The graduates of the Program can also be employed as educators in public or private secondary schools.
