DGC504 Research Methodology, Counseling Testing and Appraisal

This course is designed to provide candidates with a conceptual understanding of planning and interpreting research, developing research questions as well as becoming acquainted with measurement tools that assess academic achievement, aptitude, psychosocial norms and career and vocational interest. The course draws techniques from the qualitative and quantitative research paradigms concerning domains related to counseling and guidance. Students are enabled develop a research plan, to conduct research and to critically review empirical research publications in terms of the methodology employed.
