DGC507 Professional / vocational Orientation: Basic Theories of personal career development

Students are introduced to basic principles of career counceling and the processes and techniques involved. Topics involve current trends and strategies of intervention in career counseling, narrative counseling, and short term counseling approach in career counseling with emphasis on Solution-Focused Career Counseling. Candidates learn to evaluate and implement theories of personal professional development in the counseling process through paradigms and discussion of case studies.
