Dr Evanthia Tsaliki has got a nineteen-year teaching experience in primary education covering a diverse pupil population in terms of age, ethnicity, social class, settled or dominant communities as well as historic minorities like the Roma. She got her Bachelor degree in Primary Education by the University of Crete, Greece. She furthered her studies by gaining a Master’s degree in Educational Studies by the University of York, UK followed by a PhD degree in Intercultural Education awarded by UCL, Institute of Education, University of London. She has got teaching experience in tertiary education (face-to-face and distance learning undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study in the University of Thessaly as well as in the Hellenic Open University) and she has also acted as a visiting research associate based on the International Centre of Intercultural education in UCL Institute of Education, University Colleges London. She has made presentations in national and international conferences as well as publications in national and international journals. Furthermore, she has acted as a trainer of newly qualified teachers as well as experienced teachers within their in-service training and her role as a reviewer in national and international conferences as well as in international journals is in due course.
