Η Καθηγήτρια Δέσποινα Σαπουντζή-Κρέπια είναι Καθηγήτρια και Πρόεδρος του τμήματος Νοσηλευτικής του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick. Eχει μακρόχρονη ακαδημαϊκή καριέρα σε ηγετικούς ρόλους σε Ελλάδα και Κύπρο. Έλαβε Πτυχίο Νοσηλευτικής (BSc N) και Διδακτορικό (PhD) από το Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών το 1991, Μεταπτυχιακό (MSc) από το London South Bank University UK. Διατέλεσε Μεταδιδακτορική Ερευνήτρια στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Kuopio της Φινλανδίας (σήμερα University of Eastern Finland). Έχει διδάξει σε όλα τα επίπεδα σπουδών Νοσηλευτικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, στην Ανώτατη Σχολή Αξιωματικών Νοσηλευτικής, στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, στο Kuopio University Φινλανδία, στο Uppsala University, στο Jonkoping University, στο Halmstad University της Σουηδίας, στο Mikelli Polytechnic Polytechnic Φινλανδία και στα Ανώτατα Τεχνολογικά Ιδρύματα ΑΤΕΙ Αθήνας (σήμερα Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής) και Θεσσαλονίκης (σήμερα Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο Ελλάδος). Είναι Editor-in-Chief του Διεθνούς Επιστημονικού Περιοδικού International Journal of Caring Sciences, καθώς και Μέλος Συντακτικών Επιτροπών και Kριτής σε Σημαντικά Διεθνή Επιστημονικά Περιοδικά. Διακρίθηκε από το Διεθνές Συμβούλιο Νοσηλευτικής (ICN), και έλαβε την υποτροφία (ICN / 3M), (1989). Τιμήθηκε με τον τίτλο του Ομότιμου Καθηγητή από το Αλεξάνδρειο Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Θεσσαλονίκης (σήμερα Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο Ελλάδος) . Διετέλεσε Σύμβουλος στο Υπουργείο Υγεία και Πρόνοιας Ελλάδος και συμμετείχε σε ποικίλες επιτροπές του Κεντρικού Συμβουλίου Υγείας της Ελλάδος. Διατέλεσε Μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου του νοσοκομείου Αλεξάνδρας, Οίκων Ευγηρίας και μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου του Βρεφονηπιακού σταθμού Ωρωπού. She served as a member of the Committee of Planning the Geographical Situation of the Institutions of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education of Greece. Υπηρέτησε ως μέλος της Επιτροπής Σχεδιασμού της Γεωγραφικής Κατανομής των Ιδρυμάτων Ανώτατης Εκπαίδευσης στο Υπουργείο Παιδείας της Ελλάδας. Έχει δημοσιεύσει πλέον των 350 άρθρων και παρουσιάσεων σε συνέδρια, έχει συγγράψει βιβλία και κεφάλαια βιβλίων. Έχει λάβει πλέον των 1300 βιβλιογραφικών αναφορών στο δημοσιευμένο επιστημονικό έργο της. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στη Νοσηλευτική Δημόσιας Υγείας και τη Διοίκηση.

Despina Sapountzi-Krepia is α Professor and Chair of the Department of Nursing at Frederick University. Professor Despina Sapountzi-Krepia has a long lasting academic career in leadership roles in Greece and Cyprus. She received her BSc (N) and her PhD from the University of Athens Greece and her MSc from the London South Bank University UK. She has been a post-doctoral fellow at the Kuopio University of Finland (today University of Eastern Finland). She has taught at all levels of Nursing at the University of Athens Greece, Higher Army School of Nursing Greece, Medical School University of Thessaly Greece, Kuopio University Finland, Uppsala University, Jonkoping University and Halmstad University in Sweden, Mikelli Polytechnic in Finland and Higher Education Institution (HTEI) of Athens (today University of Western Attica) ii and Thessaloniki Greece 9tidai International Hellenic University. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Caring Sciences, as well as member of the Editorial Board and Invited Reviewer in Prominent International Scientific Journals. She received an international award from the International Council of Nursing (ICN) and she received the ICN/3M Scholarship (First Winner) in 1989. She was consultant at the Ministry of Health of Greece. She served as a Consultant at the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Greece and participated in various committees of the Central Health Council of Greece. She was a member of the board of directors of Alexandra hospital, of Elderly homes and a member of the board of directors of the Oropos Nursery School. She served as a member of the Committee of Planning the Geographical Situation of the Institutions of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education of Greece. She has published over 350 international articles and Congress abstracts, and produced books and book chapters. She received over 1300 citations on her scientific work. Her research interests are in Public Health Nursing and Management.
