Photos Vryonides (PhD) received the BEng, M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK, in 1998, 1999, and 2002 respectively. He is a member of the teaching and research staff of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics teaching in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs and also a senior researcher at Frederick Research Center (FRC). He also teaches in the MSc in Marine Engineering and Management and in the professional training program Engineer Officer of the Watch (EOOW) offered by the Cyprus Marine Technology Academy (CyMarTa) of Frederick University. Dr. Vryonides is member of the Antennas and Microwaves research group and his research interests span: reconfigurable microwave filters, antennas, mixers, LNAs, PAs, broadband amplifiers, millimeter-wave couplers, and low phase noise oscillators. He is also a Senior member of IEEE, a member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus and has been a Cyprus delegate in the management committee of COST IC0803 (RF/Microwave Communication Subsystems for Emerging Technologies) Action and currently in CA18223(Future Communications with Higher-Symmetric Engineered Artificial Materials). Photos has authored or co-authored more than 60 papers in journals and peer reviewed conferences. He serves as reviewer for IEEE Microwave Wireless Components Letters, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I and II, and IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation. Currently he is an associate editor for IEEE Access and IEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems.
