Mr. Constantinos Stamatiou

Short CV

Costas Stamatiou is a practising lawyer and partner in the law firm of Elias Neocleous & Co. LLC. He graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2001 and obtained an LL.M in Legal Aspects of Marine Affairs from there in 2002 and an LL.M in European Legal Studies from Bristol University in 2003. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2004 and in 2009 he was appointed member of the shipping committee of the Cyprus Bar Association. He sits in the board of directors of various corporations and acts as a visiting law lecturer at Frederick University Cyprus. His main areas of practice are admiralty and shipping, corporate and commercial law and associated litigation. Costas Stamatiou has co-authored the 3rd edition of the textbook “Neocleous’ s Introduction to Cyprus Law” published by CILS and the Cyprus chapter of “Encyclopaedia of International Commercial Litigation” published by Kluwer Law International.
