Dr. Constantinos Hadjiyiannis has completed his BSc and MSc degrees (5-year studies) in Mechanical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens in 2009.and his PhD in the field of Thermofluids at Imperial College London in 2014. His thesis involved the study of twin-fluid air-blast atomization process with aim to understand and predict the atomisation mechanism and generate new modelling strategies that would correlate the break-up process of liquid jets with the downstream droplet sizes and characteristics. In the same year he was employed in Conspel Qatar WLL as Head of Mechanical Design in Msheireb project in Doha, which involved the design, selection and installation of mechanical services in residential, retail, office and hotel blocks. In 2017 he was employed at Frederick Institute of Technology and at Open University of Cyprus as a part-time lecturer. In summer 2018 he became a full-time Senior Lecturer at Frederick Institute of Technology and, along with his teaching duties, he assumed the duties of the coordinator of the programme of study “Mechanical Installations Technician”. Since October 2019 he is also a part-time Lecturer at Frederick University in the School of Engineering and particularly in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He is the co-founder of SHI Bioenergy Resources LTD that produces biofuels from raw biomass and was awarded with a sponsorship for the enhancement of the competitiveness of small and medium size enterprises in the processing sector.
