Ms. Maria Trigoni

Dr. Trigoni Maria is Consultant Professor, Hellenic Open University, Patras, Greece. She is a graduate of the Department of Social Work of the School of Health Sciences of the TEI of Crete in 1981. In 1984 she graduated with a degree in Political Sciences, Panteion University of Athens. She holds a PhD degree from the University of Crete, School of Medicine in the field of Social and Family Medicine (2009), on: . M. Trigoni has taken part in multiple training programs. She’s a professional social worker as Head of the Social Services in the University General Hospital of Herakleion. During 1994 and 2009 she has been occupied as laboratory associate in the social work department of the Technological Institute of Crete. Since 2004 until present she has also been appointed as a research associate in the University of Crete in Masters of Science program in the Public Health and Health Services Management. From 2015 she holds the position of Consultant Professor at Hellenic Open University. From 2021 she works as a Collaborative Academic Staff in the Distance Learning Program Community Health at the School of Health Science at Frederick University. Dr. Trigoni participated in several Greek and international scientific congresses, seminars, with oral or poster presentations, or as invited speaker. She has publications in international and Greek scientific journals, and book chapters in scientific publications as well as published abstracts of international and Greek congress presentations. .
