Description of the main research interests and activities of the team/lab:

Visual Communication Research Unit is formed by research interests of its members. There is a compound of theoretical and practical aspects of visual communication such as typography, visual image, static-motion graphic design and design management. Furthermore, the Unit performs research related to teaching methodologies and research methodologies in the sphere of visual communication. Research interests of the Unit include:

  • Identifying and evaluating the influence of graphic design upon contemporary societies.  Significant changes on the graphic design utilization such as medium and volume, local and global environments are within the spectrum of interest.
  • Experimental research on the design practice. The role of experimentation in studio conditions and the implementation of such work in academic, business and social environments.
