Description of the main research interests and activities of the team/lab:

Architectural Technology Research Centre is a unit for documentation, restoration and conservation of historic buildings and monuments. It focuses on research for the development of documentation, constructional analysis, diagnosis, pathology and vulnerability of historic and traditional structures of our culture.

The Unit’s activities are:

  • Documentation and archiving of historical structures
  • Historical and typological analysis
  • Constructional analysis  
  • Documentation and archiving of typical pathologies and analysis of their causes
  • Documentation of vulnerability
  • Methods and materials for interventions in restoration and conservation  
  • Computational redesign methods      
  • Transference of acquired knowledge to education
