Learning Outcomes of the course unitBy the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  1. Analyze and evaluate research results and research approaches in the field of educational administration and leadership with a special emphasis on how effective school principalship is related to teaching and learning.
  2. Differentiate between the different types of school leadership (transactional, transformational, distributed) and recognize their differential influence on teaching and learning.
  3. Justify the role of school principals within the current societal, economical and educational context and realize potential factors inhibiting their effectiveness.
  4. Acquire strategies for creating and sustaining educational change and innovation.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge on how to manage interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution strategies, establishing effective school climate and effective educational management.
