Learning Outcomes of the course unitBy the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  1. To enable students to address comprehensively the problem of implementation of information technology in activities directly related to the generation and exploitation of knowledge in complex multi-parameter organizational groups (hospitals, health systems).
  2. Do students specialize in the design and development of complex systems and decision support systems health.

Course Contents-  Provide specialized scientific knowledge to graduates with skills relevant to the needs of health care through the Health Informatics.
-  The introduction and guidance of graduate students in scientific research, so that graduates of the program can perform research programs, evaluate and apply research results and to plan and prepare research in the fields of Administration Health Services and the Health Information Technology, respectively.
-  Comprehensive and in-depth presentation of the problems of implementing IT in a diverse and complex field of activity.
-  Specialization in health informatics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methodsThe teaching of the theoretical part includes lectures, case-studies, and work groups to better understand the theoretical units regarding health information systems. A whiteboard, power point, pictures, case-studies and work groups are used to assist teaching, in order to achieve the better understanding and comprehension of theory.
