Course Contents | Architectural and Artistic movements’ analysis and research: Basic history introduction with references in architectural and artistic movements. The need for historical research in Art and Design. Written and verbal briefing. Stage Design Analysis and Research: Viewing and discussion on Bertoluccis’ Romeo&Juliet. Theatrical play analysis with references in stage and set design. On site visit at an existing theatre. Exploration of real space, inspiration and perception through photography and actual measurements. 2D and 3D model production: Model making workshop. 2D and 3D architectural drawings production and presentation. Lighting and photographing the model workshop. Photographic manipulation and detail architectural drawings production. Visual Presentation and Experimentation: Presentation proposals and experimentation. | ||||||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods | The taught part of the course is delivered by means of illustrated lectures conducted with the help of computer presentations. Lectures also include video presentations. Lectures are supplemented with extended project briefings, student research and presentation, group critiques and individual tutorials. Practical workshops, exercises, and discussions on critical parts of the subject. Student centered practical work, personal research, realization and manipulation in project work. | ||||||||
