Course Contents | The Definition of the political, social and economic situation leading to the introduction of the Press in The key stages of the Cypriot journalism: The early years, the first newspapers, the new trends and social criticism (1910 - 1940), militant journalism and colonial censorship (1940-1960), Republic of Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation: The public broadcaster the Rebublic of Cyprus. Founded and historical development of CyBC. The role and importance of CyBC under Republic conditions. CyBC Radio and TV services. The history of the CNA. The structure, the function and the services of CNA. The role of CAN to the public sphere of Television and its role. The private television, legal framework and function.
