| | Learning Outcomes of the course unit | By the end of the course, the students should be able to:- Recognize violence in all its forms in society, in groups, in the family.
- Recognize forms of family violence – towards women, children, men, elderly, members with special needs.
- Recognize characteristics of perpetrators and victims.
- Identify causes and consequences of family violence.
- Develop skills in recognizing family violence.
- Develop skills in assessing family violence (extent, causes, consequences) and planning intervention.
- Demonstrate knowledge of social policy referring to family violence ( legal framework, statistics, programs of prevention and intervention).
- Develop skills in collaborating with other professionals in treating cases of violence in the family and developing programs of prevention.
