Learning Outcomes of the course unitBy the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  1. Recognize violence in all its forms in society, in groups, in the family.
  2. Recognize forms of family violence – towards women, children, men, elderly, members with special needs.
  3. Recognize characteristics of perpetrators and victims.
  4. Identify causes and consequences of family violence.
  5. Develop skills in recognizing family violence.
  6. Develop skills in assessing family violence (extent, causes, consequences) and planning intervention.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge of social policy referring to family violence ( legal framework, statistics, programs of prevention and intervention).
  8. Develop skills in collaborating with other professionals in treating cases of violence in the family and developing programs of prevention.
