Learning Outcomes of the course unitBy the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  1. Describe the clinical features, how to investigate and the general principles of therapy of the common haematological diseases.
  2. Demonstrate a knowledge of the biology of cancer, how to diagnose a malignancy, the clinical features and the general principles of cancer therapy.
  3. Explain principles and basic mechanisms of infection and infectious disease, how to approach a patient with a suspected infection and the general principles of antimicrobial chemotherapy.
  4. Describe the clinical features, how to investigate and the general principles of therapy of the common neurological diseases.
  5. Apply the appropriate skills related to how to investigate and the general principles of therapy of the common renal diseases.
  6. Describe the clinical features, how to investigate and the general principles of therapy of the common gastrointestinal, liver, biliary tract and pancreatic diseases.
