Course Contents Studio’s central objective is to provide students the chance and possibility of comprehending initially the significance of urban landscape as a modern synthesis of a multifaceted ‘mosaic’ out of environmental, social, cultural, economical etc. parts. Cultural landscapes are the framework for managing this complexity and contradictions and the possibility of demarcating new relationships where each part has its own rights and the disposal of safeguarding and developing them creatively. The ability of managing all possible relationships developed in space, offers a wide range of approach since all dimensions of design require redefinition. In this sense studio is not only offered as a field of synthesizing knowledge that was acquired but also as a field of experimentation and close observation not only in environmental issues but also in all range of subjects that constituted the educational process until 5th semester (process of planning, materials, construction, urban issues, maintenance, cultural and social issues etc.
