Course Contents | Revision of Quark Xpress basics.
Introduction to Master Page basics: Perform exercises on Master Pages.
Perform exercises on the layout design of a lifestyle magazine: The students are asked to design page layouts having as examples real lifestyle magazines.
Perform exercises on the layout design of a political magazine: The students are asked to design page layouts having as examples real political magazines.
Work on a collaborative project: The students collaborate in order to design a group lifestyle magazine.
Work on a collaborative project: The students collaborate in order to design a group political magazine.
Work on an individual (final) project: The students work individually in order to design a magazine choosing a style/theme of their choice. | ||||||||

Planned learning activities and teaching methods | During laboratory sessions, students learn how to use the software QuarkXpress in order to design magazine layouts suitable for publishing their articles. Students are asked to implement exercises during the laboratory sessions and work on collaborative and individual projects. | ||||||||
