Course Contents | Basic general knowledge: Recognition of the different types of cameras and their uses and consideration of the differences between analogical and digital cameras. Familiarization with the photography vocabulary and comprehension with significant photographic elements, such as exposure, light meter, aperture, depth of field, shutter, camera shake, film speed, memory stick and resolution. Comprehension of exposure and the use of camera’s controls. Awareness of the importance of lighting and familiarization with different lighting methods.
The research process: Retrieve and exploration of research. Look at master works and participation in discussions. Look at photography image, from numerous resources and analyze it in reference to process, technique, aesthetics and philosophy. Identification of the various approaches used in the analysis of the photographic image and recognition of photography’s diversity Project process: Undergo project briefing, written and verbal analysis. Analysis project tasks, requirements, research and visual information. Participation in photography outing and getting familiar with the camera use and the creative choices that are engaged before the shutter is pressed. Practice of photographic tasks while solving technical and composition problems. Use of the photographic skills learned to communicate with ideas and to experiment with different backgrounds, angles of view, compositions and framing. Participation in the group critiques. Familiarization of the criteria whereby an image might be considered good and break down the criteria related to process, technique and project tasks. Recognition of printing techniques and the importance of time management and presentation. Receive feedback for the assessments presentation. | ||||||||
