  2. Collect and organize information required for their individual work based on the adequacy and accuracy, quality and quantity
  3. To develop, through the written word, a structure presenting a project, while developing the argument that supports and promotes.
  4. To form a clear structure and methodology of a scientific dissertation using references

Course Contents

Introduction to the research  methodology  scientific dissertations : The analysis of the meaning of scientific research and methodology

The choice of subject :Examination of the parameters that affect the final choice of a subject.

The search of material and the plan of work: Through examples we discuss the plan of work.

The writing: Analyse the main points of writing of a scientific dissertation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course aims to create researchers with knowledge on research methods to be used in their own research inquiries. The written word constitutes a powerful and essential means of communication of the designer with collaborators from the same or other specialties, the customer, competition committees, urban-planning services. The publication of architectural research papers in the corresponding press requires the use of written word.

Lectures and Presentations are taken place to the lesson. In addition, students are instructed to collect and organize information required for their individual work.
