  1. Locate the basic problems, difficulties and risks in the process of organizing and managing the Construction site.
  2. Explain the basic regulations that are applied in the construction site.
  3. Give the basic kinds of contracts that are used for construction
  4. Explain the process and the stages of Constructing
  5. Create or evaluate a risk assessment
  6. Create or evaluate a time schedule of works.
  7. Evaluate the quality of materials and works
  8. Co –operate with Engineers of other specialties

Introduction. Course outline.

Institutional Framework of the Constructions. Regulations. Constructor’s categories. Rights and obligations of the Constructors.

Construction Tenders. Quantity Bill, Units, Unit Price, Economic tender.

Construction Contracts. Contract with quantities, Contract without quantities. Contracts for sub-contractors.

Economic -Time -Quality Programming of Projects. Project Management. Quality system.

Time Schedule of Works.

Health and Safety in Construction Site. Plan of health and safety during construction. Risk assessment.

Actions in the Construction Site. Preparatory steps Supervision by the Architect. Meetings, Architectural instructions, Quality control

Works in the Construction Site. Stages of Construction. List of different types of Works.

Final Delivery of a Project.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The taught part of the course is delivered to students by means of lectures, conducted by electronic presentations. Lecture notes are given to students in electronic form.

Lectures are supplemented by presentations given by invited visitors experienced to the subject.
