Learning Outcomes of the course unitBy the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  1. Offer critical discourse on the levels of inventory at any stage of the supply chain.
  2. Appraise different modes of transportation as regards the specific needs of the cargo and trade in question.
  3. Understand the significance of Forecasting, and evaluate some basic methods.
  4. Explain the relationship between the Logistics Department in a company with that of Sales, Marketing, Finance, Personnel, and IT.
  5. Formulate a Customer Service policy, implement it and measure its effectiveness.
  6. Understand the need and reality of pursuing a Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Strategy.
  7. Critically appraise data, isolate issues pertaining to Logistics, and evaluate those.
