MBA 514: Financial Management
The course provides the fundamental principles for the evaluation of firms' investments, risk and return, financial corporate theory relating to dividend policy and optimal capital structure and an introduction to option pricing theory. The concepts and tools developed are essential for the manager to properly assess the value of an investment opportunity (irrespective of sector) and to form the firm’s corporate policy regarding the financing of investments and the distribution or reinvestment of income. The modern theory of options is essential for the manager in understanding the new types of financial products available in the market place with embedded options provided to investors.
