Η Δρ Λουΐζα Ιωαννίδου είναι Λέκτορας, μέλος του Τμήματος Ψυχολογίας και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick, από το 2015. Είναι εγγεγραμμένη Σχολική Ψυχολόγος από το 2009. Απόκτησε το διδακτορικό της δίπλωμα (Phd) στην Ψυχολογία (2019), το μεταπτυχιακό της (ΜΑ) στη Σχολική Ψυχολογία (2009) (διάρκειας 3 ετών, συμπεριλαμβανομένων 1600 ωρών εποπτευόμενης κλινικής πρακτικής) και το πτυχίο (BA) στην Ψυχολογία (2005) από το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Διδάσκει μαθήματα σε προπτυχιακά και μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα σπουδών στη Σχολή Επιστημών Αγωγής και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών και ειδικότερα στο Τμήμα Ψυχολογίας και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών και Τμήμα Επιστημών της Αγωγής. Επίσης, διδάσκει στο εξ αποστάσεως πρόγραμμα Ειδικής Εκπαίδευσης του Τμήματος Επιστημών της Αγωγής. Στο πλαίσιο της συνεχούς εκπαίδευσης, εκπαιδεύτηκε στη Γνωστική-Συμπεριφορική Θεραπεία για παιδιά και ενήλικες, στη Θετική Ψυχολογία, στη Θεραπεία και Διαχείριση Διατροφικών Διαταραχών και Παχυσαρκίας (Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders and Obesity), στο Mindfulness, στο Solution Focused Therapy, και στο Business - Team Coaching. Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στην ψυχική ανθεκτικότητα και ευημερία παιδιών και εφήβων, στην ανάπτυξη, εφαρμογή και αξιολόγηση ψυχοεκπαιδευτικών προληπτικών προγραμμάτων, στον σχολικό εκφοβισμό και θυματοποίηση, και στην ψυχοπαθολογία. Τα ερευνητικά της ευρήματα δημοσιεύονται σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά και παρουσιάζονται σε επιστημονικά συνέδρια.

Dr. Louiza Ioannidou has been a Lecturer at the Department of Psychology and Social Sciences of Frederick University since 2020. Before that, she worked as a special teaching staff (2015-2020). She has been a registered School Psychologist since 2009. She obtained her PhD in Psychology in 2019, her MA in School Psychology in 2009 (which included 1600 hours of supervised clinical practice over three years), and her BA in Psychology in 2005 from the University of Cyprus. She teaches courses in undergraduate and postgraduate study programs at the School of Education and Social Sciences, specifically in the Department of Psychology and Social Sciences and the Department of Education. She also teaches in the distance learning program for Special Education in the Department of Education. As part of her continuing education, she was trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for children and adults, Positive Psychology, Therapy and Management of Eating Disorders and Obesity (Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders and Obesity), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and Business - Team Coaching. Her research interests focus on the mental resilience and well-being of children and adolescents, the development, implementation, and evaluation of psychoeducational preventative programs, school bullying and victimization, and psychopathology. Her research findings are published in scientific journals and presented at scientific conferences.
