Manos Pavlakis is an Asst. Professor of Adult Education at Frederick University and serves as the coordinator of the Master’s Program in Educational Administration/Leadership. Previously, he has taught in postgraduate programs at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Hellenic Open University, the Athens University of Economics and Business, the Open University of Cyprus, and the European University Cyprus. Manos was the Learning Director of the Greek branch of the internationally awarded educational organization JA Greece and has worked for more than 15 years as a trainer/consultant in HR issues, with experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational and research programs/actions for organizations in the public, private, and third sector, specializing in Trainer Education and the development of transversal skills. His research interests are related to workplace learning, learning organizations, and the professional education of trainers/teachers, with relevant publications in international and Greek scientific journals and conferences. He was the Learning Manager and creator of the educational material for the international program YouReCa, which received the UNESCO Quality and Excellence Award. He has also been recognized for his social contributions, having received, as chairperson of Youthnet Hellas, the European Citizen’s Prize from the European Parliament in 2013. Manos holds degrees in Greek Literature (National University of Athens) and European Civilization (Hellenic Open University), Master’s degrees in Human Resource Management (Leeds University Business School) and Political Science (University of Crete), a PhD in Adult Education (Hellenic Open University), and has completed post-doctoral research on inclusion in the workplace learning (Stockholm University).
