Dedicated to inspiring transformative learning experiences

The Center’s mission is to develop capacity building, competent practices and the appropriate culture to pursue excellence and innovation, and sustain quality in teaching and learning practices by integrating new and emergent technologies, thus contributing to students’ success in higher education and beyond.

The Center for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching (CIET) is dedicated to inspiring transformative learning experiences and promoting excellence in teaching across all levels of higher education. Its mission is to develop a culture of continuous professional growth and innovation through capacity building, the advancement of pedagogical practices, and the integration of new and emerging technologies. CIET supports educators in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, inclusive, and engaging educational materials suitable for blended, hybrid, and online learning environments. CIET envisions a university ecosystem where teaching and learning are enriched through research-informed practice, digital transformation, and inclusive design. By aligning its work with the strategic goals of the University and global trends in higher education, the Center aims to empower both educators and students to thrive in a dynamic academic landscape. Through its multidisciplinary approach, CIET promotes academic excellence, enhances student success, and advances institutional quality in teaching. It serves as a hub for collaboration, research, professional development, policy design, and educational innovation—positioning the University as a leader in progressive and student-centered higher education practices.
