Mobility Office

Distance learning students have equal opportunities to participate in mobility programs with other conventional Frederick University students. The Mobility Office manages the Erasmus + program, gives the opportunity to all students of distance programs to go abroad for studies or internship as students or as graduates.

What is the Erasmus + program?
Erasmus + is the EU's program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Its budget of €26.2 billion for the next seven years 2021-2027 will give more than 10 million Europeans the opportunity to study, train, work together, teach and gain experience abroad. Erasmus + offers capabilities to a wide range of individuals and organizations.

It aims to highlight skills, employability, as well as the modernization of education, training and youth systems in all areas of Lifelong Learning.

What opportunities do I have as a distance learning graduate of Frederick University?
If you are a graduate you have the opportunity to gain your first professional experience in an office / company / organization, etc., in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus + program, from 2 to 12 months, within 12 months from the date of graduation.

In addition, you can attend online language courses, completely free of charge.

Which countries participate in the Erasmus + program?
The Erasmus + program involves the Member States of the European Union, the Member States of the European Economic Zone and the candidate member States.

To be able to participate in Erasmus +, the hosting organization / company / office must be located in one of the countries participating in the program other than Cyprus, where the instituion is located, and the country where the permanent residence is (eg Greece).

What are the selection criteria?
You must have good academic performance, good knowledge of English, good manners and significant motivation to participate!

Is it worth it;
Of course it is worth it!

It has been proven through research that the possibilities for employment for those who have gained experience abroad are significantly multiplied.

Many former Erasmus students find work on their field of education and their success is directly linked to the knowledge they have acquired in the host countries.

Today's labor market demands more and more workers who bring with them languages, a work and cultural of advanced countries and "open horizons".

When can I register?
For studies during the Winter semester or the entire academic year: March 31

For studies during the Spring semester: October 31

For internship during the summer months: March 31

To gain first work experience abroad as a graduate: up to one month before graduation
