Founder’s Day at Frederick University: Honoring the Memory of Our Founder
For many years, 8 November was a special and festive day for our University, as it was the name day of our founder, Michalis Frederickou. Following his passing in the summer of 2020, the University Council decided to honor his memory through a series of activities, establishing this day as Founder’s Day.
This year, as 8 November falls on a Sunday, the events will take place on the following days: Monday, 9 November, and Tuesday, 10 November, in Nicosia, and Wednesday, 11 November, in Limassol.
The program includes:
MONDAY, 9 NOVEMBER | NICOSIA
7:00 p.m. | Theatrical Reading, Frederick University’s “Stathmos” Multi-space (next to the Architecture Building)
Directed by our colleague Emilios Charalambides, this theatrical reading brings to life stories and personal testimonies from people who have been connected with Frederick in different ways and during different periods of its history. These testimonies were recorded during the production of our anniversary documentary but were not included in the final film. They will be presented to the public for the first time.
Due to limited seating, advance registration is required via the following link: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/06xaWKe92H
