Frederick University does not own a Halls of Residence. However, a free and comprehensive accommodation service is offered to every incoming student who is looking for a place to live. In addition to this, the ERASMUS Office of Frederick University collaborates with private landlords, who provide dormitories for a short term stay.

Non-EU applicants must issue a student visa to be eligible to study in Cyprus. Please find below detailed information about admission and visa requirements for international students.

  • For non EU citizens, Holders of Student Residence Permit in EU country

If you are non EU citizen but you own a student residence permit in EU country, please find below the list of documents that you should send.

(a) Duly certified copy of passport or other travel document, with a validity of:
(i) at least the expected duration of studies
(ii) at least two years

(b) Duly certified copy of criminal record from the official authorities of the country of residence with official translation in Greek or English.

(c) Certificate of Enrolment at home institution.

(d) Copy of Students Residence Permit at EU country.

(e) Migration fees 140 euro.

All documents should be certified or stamped with an apostille stamp.

Student who do not obtain the ''Entry Permit'' in Cyprus before the start of the semester, will not be able to register at Frederick University.

  • For non EU citizens

All non EU citizens students, should collect the below documents in order to apply for Entry Permit

(a) Duly certified copy of passport or other travel document, with a validity of:
(i) at least the expected duration of studies
(ii) at least two years

(b) Duly certified copy of criminal record from the official authorities of the country of residence with official translation in Greek or English.

(c) Original Medical Examinations (Stamped and signed by a doctor).
a. HBV (Hep. B)
b. HCV (Hep. C)
c. VDRL (Syphilis)
d. HIV / AIDS
e. X-Ray / TB - we need only the report.

(d) Migration fees 140 euro.

All documents should be certified or stamped with an apostille stamp.

Students who do not obtain the ''Entry Permit'' in Cyprus before the start of the semester, will not be able to register at Frederick University.

  • Attestation of Documents
International students are required to have all supporting documents attested (certified to be correct) by the authorities in their home country. The attestation process varies between countries who have signed the Hague Convention of 1961 (Apostille)

First, students must be nominated by their home institution as exchange student candidates. The host institution must complete the Nomination Form and send it via email to the Mobility Office.

Once nominated, students are required to apply by submitting the following documents to the Mobility Office:

1. Application Form (attached)

2. Copy of ID card or passport

3. Transcript of Records

4. Copy of European Health Insurance Card

5. Passport-sized color profile photo

Students are advised to select courses only from the same semester and program of study to avoid timetable conflicts. For more information regarding course selection, please contact the respective Departmental ERASMUS+ coordinator (view table at the Department Coordinators section above).

Important: After submitting their application, students should not assume acceptance until they receive an official Letter of Acceptance from Frederick University. Students will only be officially accepted once they have received this letter. The Official Letter of Acceptance will be sent within three weeks of the application deadline.

A buddy is a volunteer student from Frederick University that cares for your wellbeing and wishes to provide you a pleasant experience in Cyprus. Your buddy will be available for your questions before, during and after your mobility, help you during your first days in Cyprus and help you also with some practical aspects during your stay. The buddy system is operated by the Erasmus Students Network Nicosia (ESN NICOSIA). Please contact them for more information.

Please kindly note that your buddy is not responsible for finding you accommodation!
