Aikaterini Sousamidou has graduated of the Faculty of Philosophy, the Pedagogical Academy and the School of Kindergarten. She is specialized in Cognitive Psychology (postgraduate studies) and has a PhDegree in Psychology from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with postdoctoral research in Psychology as a scholarship holder of the State Scholarship Foundation and she is certified as educator of adult education. Aikaterini Sousamidou is working at Frederick University, in the master course "Special Education", and as a Psychologist - Psychotherapist, specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for children and adults. Her research interests focus on psychosocial and cognitive development of children and adolescents, both of typical and abnormal development, psychological resilience and empathy of young people, self-esteem and social acceptance, school bullying and school climate and school and parents’ relationship.
