Achilleas P. Achilleos (PhD) received his doctorate from the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, which was co-funded by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and British Telecom (BT). He is currently a full time Visiting Lecturer at the School of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics at Frederick University. He is a Principal Investigator of the GUIDED EU AAL project, the Pre-Seed ASM4Deaf national project, the SportsTraveler76 Research in Startups national project, the DineTours Exploitation national project, the Erasmus+ BCT4SMEs project, the NET-SMART Encouragement national project. He is also coordinator of the SLKApps and CloudScanner industry projects, while he also participates as a researcher in the Hate Interrupter Teams EU DG-REC project. He has also been a Post-Doctoral Researcher for five years at the SEIT laboratory, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Cyprus, where he was the lead researcher in European H2020, FP7, FP6, LLP and AAL research projects (Sci-Challenge, PaaSage, Prosperity4All, COIN, MUSIC, VALS and CVN). At the start of his academic career he worked as a part-time researcher at British Telecom. His research interests are: pervasive and mobile computing, adaptive web engineering, service-oriented and cloud computing and model-driven engineering. He has published more than 40 papers and served as a chair in well-known conferences and as a reviewer in many well-known journals and conferences.
