National Graduate Tracking Survey of Higher Education – CyGraduates 2025 – 4th Cycle

The Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth (MESY) is conducting, for the fourth consecutive year, the National Graduate Tracking Survey of Higher Education (CYGraduates).

The survey is conducted within the framework of the project titled “Development of a National Graduate Tracking Mechanism and Design and Implementation of an Employer Skills Survey”, which is included in the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Republic of Cyprus. The aim of the survey is to connect Higher Education in Cyprus with the labour market.

The CYGraduates Survey

The CYGraduates survey aims to collect data over time regarding the entry of Cyprus Higher Education graduates into the labour market, their study experiences, the skills they acquired, and the connection between Higher Education Study Programs and the labour market.

Who participates in the 4th cycle of the CYGraduates survey?
Participants in this 4th cycle include graduates from the academic years 2019–2020 and 2023–2024. Specifically:
• Graduates from all Higher Education Institutions in Cyprus
• Graduates from Study Programs leading to one of the following qualifications: Certificate, Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate
• Graduates from all study modes (e.g., full-time, part-time, distance learning)
• Graduates of all nationalities
• Graduates residing either in Cyprus or abroad

Participation – Access to the questionnaire
Data collection takes place from November 2025 to January 2026 through an online questionnaire that lasts approximately 10–12 minutes. Access to the questionnaire is available via the project’s website https://skilltracking.highereducation.ac.cy/cygraduates/ or through a personal link sent by email or SMS to all graduates of the relevant academic years by the Higher Education Institution they graduated from.
To encourage participation in this important survey, all graduates receive a small gift, and upon completing and submitting the questionnaire, they enter a draw for larger prizes—gift vouchers for sports items, electronic products, and supermarket goods.

The participation of Higher Education graduates in the National CYGraduates Survey is important because:

1. They contribute to improving Higher Education:
They provide valuable information to Higher Education Institutions in Cyprus to better understand student needs and adjust their study programs to meet labour market demands.
2. They contribute to policy-making:
They strengthen the database used to shape educational policies, contributing to a more effective connection between Higher Education and the labour market.
3. They enhance employability:
They support the development of strategies that improve employment opportunities for graduates.

Access to the results
The survey results are published and allow everyone to stay informed about labour market trends and developments in Higher Education. You can find all the reports and additional material to the project’s website here

Updates on the progress and results of the survey are shared through its official social media accounts (on Facebook and Instagram).
