Great distinction for Frederick University Professor Andreas Poullikkas

Andreas Poullikkas, Professor of Energy Systems at the School of Engineering, has been recognised as a 2025 “Highly Ranked Scholar” by the international analytics platform ScholarGPS, placing him among the top 0.05% of scholars worldwide in his field. ScholarGPS honours Highly Ranked Scholars for exceptional productivity, impact and quality of research, using advanced AI-based analysis of more than 30 million scholars, over 200 million publications and billions of citations from over 120,000 institutions worldwide.
In the 2025 rankings, Professor Poullikkas is distinguished as a Highly Ranked Scholar in the specialties of Sustainable Energy (10th worldwide), Renewable Energy (51th worldwide) and Energy (337th worldwide), reflecting his long-standing contribution to the advancement and optimisation of sustainable energy systems and energy markets.
