It is with great pride and joy that I welcome you to this year’s graduation ceremonies.

Graduation constitutes one of the most important milestones in the academic life of every student. All of us at Frederick University are committed to making this experience unforgettable for you and your families.

In this page you can find all the relevant information regarding the completion of your studies and your participation in the 2026 graduation events follows.

7 STEPS TO GRADUATION

The Online Graduation Application Form is mandatory for all graduates of the academic year 2025-26, which includes the graduates of September 2025 and of the Fall 2025 semester and all students who are expected* to graduate in the current Spring 2026 semester.

The form should be completed regardless of participating or not to the Graduation Ceremony.

The online form can be found in Extranet (Student Services:Graduation Form).
On the form you will need to indicate whether or not you:
- will participate in the Graduation Ceremony
- will attend the Graduation Party (and if you would like to reserve transportation from Limassol)
- from which Campus you wish to collect your Graduation Envelope which contains:
 (a) Guests’ Invitations
 (b) Party entrance tickets 
 (c) Instructions for your participation in the Ceremony
The deadline for submitting your application is Wednesday, June 3rd 2026.

*After the completion of all final examinations, the Studies Office will ensure and confirm that all Graduation criteria and requirements are met for all candidate graduates. The Studies Office will then nominate the students who are eligible for Graduation. Students who fail to meet the Graduation requirements will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.

Students participating in the ceremony must wear the academic dress of Frederick University that is provided only by Eurojet.

Please note that wearing any other Academic Dress is strictly prohibited. Students who fail to wear the appropriate Academic Dress will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony and therefore, no seat will be reserved for them in the graduates’ designated area. However, they can attend the Ceremony while seated anywhere else.

The Graduation Ceremonies for the academic year 2025-2026 will take place as follows:

Monday, June 22, 2026, Limassol Municipal Open-Air Theatre, at 20:00

Thursday, June 25, 2026, Nicosia Municipal Theatre, at 20:00 

Friday, June 26 2026, Nicosia Municipal Theatre, at 20:00

Guests of Graduates

Each graduate will be allowed to invite to their Graduation Ceremony up to four (4) guests. You will be able to collect the invitations at the reception desk of the University in Nicosia and Limassol after June 19th. Invitations must be presented at the Venue's entrance.

On the day of the ceremony, graduates must check in with the University Staff no later than 19.15. University Staff will check graduates to ensure that all of those expected are present and in the
correct order. Only students who complete and submit the online graduation application form can take part in the ceremony.

Photographs

The University has selected two professional photographers to offer their services during the Graduation & Awards Ceremonies.

Graduates will be able to be photographed prior to the start of the Graduation Ceremony in a specially designed outdoor area, as well as during the Ceremony. Please note that on the 24th of June for the Awards Ceremony, the photographer will be taking pictures ONLY during the ceremony and not before.

The ceremony will also be recorded and live-streamed from Frederick University youtube channel.

GRADUATES AWARD CEREMONY – JUNE 24, 2026, 19:00 Nicosia Municipal Theatre 

The award ceremony of the graduate and postgraduate students with the best academic performance among all graduates for each program of study for the academic year 2025-2026 will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Students will be informed about their nomination by telephone, once all grades are posted, one week prior to the ceremony.

At the ceremony, PhD graduates will also be awarded.

Tuesday, 23 June 2026 | Time: 20:00 | 360 Lounge Bar, Nicosia

Celebrate together with your fellow students, as well as the academic and administrative staff of the University, your success and bid farewell at the Graduation Party, which will take place at 360 Lounge Bar in Nicosia — the tallest building in the city, offering a panoramic 360° view.

Students who wish to attend the Graduation Party must declare their participation through the online Graduation Application available on the Extranet (see Step 1).

The ticket includes:

  • Free entrance
  • Complimentary finger food & drinks

Bus Transportation to/from Limassol

  • Departure: From Frederick University in Limassol at 20:00
  • Return: To Frederick University in Limassol
  • Cost: €5 per person

Reservation through the Application form is required. More information and booking confirmation will be sent to those who register through the online Graduation Application on the Extranet (Student Welfare: Graduation Form).

Ticket Collection | 15–22 June

The party entrance ticket and bus ticket will be provided together with the Graduation Package and can be collected from the University Reception in Nicosia and Limassol.

Frederick University announces the awarding of the Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards for the academic year 2025–26.

The submission of nominations will commence on Monday, 27 April 2026.

The awards will be presented during the Frederick University Awards Ceremony for Excellence and Validectorians, which will take place on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.


The awards are presented for the sixth consecutive year in memory of the founder of our University, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary. The awards aim to recognize and honor the actions that promote the values of Michael Frederickou and Frederick University: excellence in teaching, research and innovation, making an impact, and service to the community.

All members of the university community - students, graduates, faculty, researchers, and administrators - are encouraged to express their interest in, or nominate candidates for the awards, which are presented in a total of five categories:

- The Michael Frederickou Teaching Excellence Awards (eligible for nomication: only faculty members)
- The Michael Frederickou Best Thesis Award (selected by each School)
- The Michael Frederickou Excellence Awards in Research & Innovation (eligible: researchers)
- The Sustainable Development Goals Actions Awards (eligible for nomination : all members of the community)
- The Michael Frederickou Award for an Outstanding Student or Graduate (eligible for nomination only students and graduates)

Can’t wait to frame your degree? Your Degree will be ready for collection from the University as of Monday, July 27, 2026. Remember, your hard-earned degree is recognized worldwide and can be used to demonstrate your qualifications to employers, academic institutions and professional bodies or associations!

Graduating students will have to pay a specific graduation fee of 55 Euro, whether they attend the ceremony or not. The award and collection of degrees require the full settlement of all financial obligations to the University.

The Registrar’s Office will send to all graduates an email with all relevant information after the announcement of the grades for the Spring 2026 semester.
