The Blue Limassol Forum is an annual event, established in 2020 by the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides, with the aim to air key issues and initiatives directly linked to the Blue Economy and promote maritime and environmental awareness amongst local citizens.

Deputy Minister of Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus, Ms Marina Hadjimanolis, will address the Forum. Mayor of Limassol, Mr Nicos Nicolaides, Dean of Frederick University’s School of Business & Law, Prof. Eleni Hadjiconstantinou and Prof. Jean-Marc Ogier, Rector of La Rochelle Université and EU-CONEXUS Chair of Governing Board will address the Forum as well.

The Forum consists of presentations and panel discussions where speakers and participants from Cyprus and abroad will share and discuss the implementation of best practices and technologies related to carbon neutrality in coastal cities in harmony with Citizen Wellbeing. The Forum aims to inform delegates whilst engaging in active participation and opinion polling. The data collected will be used for current research and development in the framework of the EU Mission for 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030, of which Limassol is one.
