The Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, the Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus, and the UNESCO Chair on Lifelong Learning and Adult Education of Frederick University are collaborating to organize two professional development seminars, which will take place at Frederick University in Nicosia and Limassol.
The seminars are addressed to Pre-primary Education teachers and Primary Education teachers who teach in Grades 1, 2, and 3. Professor George Babiniotis will deliver a lecture on topics related to the teaching of the Greek language.
The schedule of the training seminars is as follows:
Thursday, 7 November 2024 – Frederick University, Limassol
09:30–10:00: Registration
10:00–13:00: Lecture “Contribution to the Linguistic Awareness of Primary Education Teachers”
Friday, 8 November 2024 – Frederick University, Nicosia

Due to a limited number of available places, up to two teachers from each school unit may register, with the approval of the School Principal. Therefore, interested teachers are required to submit their participation form through the Pedagogical Institute’s online registration platform (https://www.pi-eggrafes.ac.cy) under the category “Seminars–Conferences,” from Monday, 14 October 2024 to Tuesday, 5 November 2024.
To complete the registration process on the platform, teachers must first update their personal information. Relevant instructions can be found on the Pedagogical Institute’s website (“Profile Management”: https://myprofile.pi.ac.cy/).
Teachers who attend the seminar will receive a certificate of participation electronically through https://www.pi-eggrafes.ac.cy, under the “Declarations Archive” link, after the seminar’s completion.
The list of participants will be published on the Pedagogical Institute’s website on Wednesday, 6 November 2024.
