Call for abstracts announced for the 5th Doctoral Colloquium to be held in Pafos
Neapolis University Pafos is hosting the 5th Doctoral Colloquium of the Cyprus Rectors’ Conference, a distinguished annual event that brings together doctoral students and academics from Cyprus and abroad, representing a wide range of scientific disciplines.
The Colloquium will be held on 4th April, 2026, at Neapolis University in Pafos, providing a dynamic forum for participants to present their research, engage in constructive academic dialogue, and interact with peers and senior scholars.
Each year, the Doctoral Colloquium supports PhD students in sharing their work, receiving constructive academic feedback, and exchanging ideas in an environment that promotes intellectual growth and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants are encouraged to explore innovative approaches, strengthen their academic communication and presentation skills, and develop professional networks that foster future collaborations across institutions and disciplinary boundaries.
Committees and Academic Oversight
The Organizing Committee of the Doctoral Colloquium is composed of the Vice Rectors of all Cypriot universities, within the framework of the collective operation of the Cyprus Rectors’ Conference.
The Scientific Committee is chaired by Professor Savvas Hatzichristofis, Vice Rector for Research and Innovation at Neapolis University Pafos, with the participation of Professor Michael Komodromos, Vice Rector for Research, Development and International Relations at Frederick University, and Professor Wassim El Hajj, Rector of the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo.
The coordination of the Local Organizing Committee is undertaken by Dr. Avgousta Kyriakidou-Zacharoudiou, Assistant Professor at Neapolis University Pafos.
Participation and Information
The Cyprus Rectors’ Conference has announced the Call for Abstracts. All currently enrolled PhD students at universities in Cyprus and abroad are welcome to submit their research for consideration. Submissions from all disciplines and fields of study are encouraged. Presentations may be delivered in English or Greek. All participants receive a Certificate of Participation
The Doctoral Colloquium recognises excellence in doctoral research and presentation. Selected presentations will receive Best Presentation Awards in various thematic categories, as determined by the Scientific Committee and audience feedback.
Abstract submission deadline is February 12, 2026.
