At Frederick University, we believe that museums contribute significantly to improving our quality of life by enriching culture and enhancing communication, understanding, and collaboration. That's why we celebrate this year's theme of Museum Day: "Museums, Sustainability, and Quality of Life!"

On the occasion of World Earth Day, Dr. Christos Mammidis, Researcher at the Nature Conservation Unit of Frederick University and member of the research team of the BIOMON project, conducted a visit on 27th and 28th of April to the Primary Schools of Deftera and Kato Pyrgos.

The lecture titled "The Natural Phenomenon of Earthquakes: The Role of Citizens and Engineers in Reducing Seismic Risk" with speaker Professor Panagiotis Touliatos, at the Department of Architecture Engineering, started the series of workshops titled: Architectural Anti-Seismic Design.

The Femme Fest is the only Gender Equality Promotion Festival in Cyprus, and it took place on May 13th and 14th, from 17:00 to 22:00. The Fest hosted and showcased the work of women in all sectors, as well as institutions and organizations working on gender issues.

The excitement of discovery was the prevailing element at Frederick University last Saturday, 6th of May, during which girls aged 9-12 had the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops as part of STEM Day.
