Our University joins the HEInnova Sport project, funded by EIT

Frederick University participated in the first HEI Initiative 2022 Innovation Vision Action Plan (IVAP) workshop in Barcelona

Dr Petroula Mavrikiou, Associate Professor at Frederick University's Department of Business Administration, participated at the first HEI Initiative 2022 IVAP workshop in Barcelona, Spain, on the 5th and 6th of July 2022.

The HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education is a key objective for the EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology as part of the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021−2027. The initiative aims to support higher education institutions with expertise and coaching, give access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual higher education institutions.

During the IVAP Workshop, which gathered more than 200 participants from Europe, Frederick University participated as a partner in the HEInnovaSport: Building innovation capacity and entrepreneurship in sport science HEIs, one of the 26 projects selected for funding.

The Project is coordinated by the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Other HE partners are the University of Craiova (Romania), Frederick University (Cyprus), University of Luxembourg (Luxemburg), Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) and Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (Sweden).
