Frederick University and Chevron announce the results of the evaluation of applications submitted for the scholarships offered to incoming female undergraduate students of the School of Engineering for the academic year 2024-25.
Chevron, one of the world's leading energy companies, and Frederick University collaborated for the third consecutive year through this initiative, aiming to encourage more women to pursue studies and careers in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This initiative recognizes the impact of the underrepresentation of women in Engineering and Technology and aligns with the shared goal of promoting gender equality.
The evaluation was conducted by a special committee using a scoring system that took into account the academic performance of each applicant, as well as the socio-economic status of her family.
Three full scholarships (100%) were initially announced for the first year of study. However, due to a tie in the scoring process, the following will be awarded: one (1) full scholarship (100%) for the first year of study and three (3) scholarships covering 83.33% of the first year’s tuition.
After the academic year 2024-2025, part of the scholarship will be renewed on a semester basis, taking into consideration the overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of the student during the previous academic semester, according to the existing scholarship program of Frederick University “To all women and girls: Join the Journey in Engineering and Technology.”
The successful scholarship applicants are listed below with the initial of their first name in English, the initial of their last name in English, and the last four digits of their identification card number. The beneficiaries will also be notified in writing via a formal letter.
Full Scholarship (100%) for the first year of study:
• KK - 7024
Scholarships covering 83.33% for the first year of study:
• MO - 0380
• ΜR - 363C
• VG - 9321
We warmly welcome them as scholarship recipients of Frederick University and wish them every success in their studies. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the candidates who submitted applications.
